The Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY...Monday, January 21st, 2013

Outside my window...it's a sunny but somewhat cloudy day

I am thinking...that my back NEEDS to get better. This is for the birds!

I am thankful...for good friends and fellow sewers!

In the kitchen...hoping to try some new recipes this week. But I have to be able to stand and move around in the kitchen to do it. I want to try Quinoa.

I am wearing...PJ's! No surprise there :)

I am creating...an organized home, still finishing the Valentine's Day wall hanging quilt and my January "Lovely Year of Finishes" project.

I am going...to Lisa's for craft club with Kyle in a bit....then back down in bed =((

I am wondering...how I am going to accomplish all that I need to this week with my back out. (I know God will see me through, it's just super frustrating and I hate being tied down)

I am reading..."Blue Moon Promise" by Colleen Coble, "The Sister's Secret" by Wanda Brunstetter

I am hoping...that I can organize my bathroom closet today. With Ronnie being home though I doubt it will happen. He is going to make me stay down ALL day.

I am looking forward to...quilting class I'm teaching this Thursday and Monster Jam Saturday night!

I am learning...that there are some things I just can't do anymore. Age is just a number and with my back my age is pretty irrelevant :(

Around the house...purging and organizing! (still!)

I am pondering...how to get the binding on a quilt without hurting my back and without Ronnie pitching a fit.

A favorite quote for today...
“Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.”  ~Martin Luther King, Jr.

One of my favorite things...the group I created on FB "Lisa's Quilt Circle" I LOVE that people are joining and interacting!

A few plans for the rest of the week:other than the normal stuff...the Villages Quilt show is FRIDAY!! Yayy!!

A peek into my day...
This is what I am using as a walker to get around...pathetic, I know.

Oh, I feel your pain! My back went out on Saturday morning. And, it's been a bear trying to get stuff done without my husband seeing - LOL!! It stinks!! Hope we both feel better soon!
