The Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY...Wednesday, January 30th, 2013

Outside my window...blue skies, the temp is in the 70's...NICE

I am thinking...that this week is just going to be a wash, as far as productivity goes. I have been in bed since Saturday-until yesterday...yesterday I was up and about and I even left the house! But starting last night, Kyle is down with this illness. Ahh well...such is life.

I am thankful...for my hubby-who has been helping around the house SO much since I've been sick.

In the kitchen...same ol same ol. Cooking LOTS of fresh veggies each day. We tried quinoa and both the boys really loved it-I think they liked it more than I did! And WOW, does it make A LOT!!

I am wearing...shorts and a tank top.

I am creating...a new applique project! It was something that I could do while stuck in bed :) trace and cut! and my January "Lovely Year of Finishes" project.

I am going...nowhere! Ronnie will need to teach ALL the kiddos at church tonight.

I am wondering...how this BIG decision that is in front of our church is going to turn out. I will know Sunday.

I am reading..."The Bachelor's Bargain" by Catherine Palmer, "The Storekeeper's Daughter" by Wanda Brunstetter and "The Sister's Secret" by Wanda Brunstetter (I have to say that BOTH of the Amish books have me quite stressed out! geesh, reading is supposed to be relaxing!)

I am hoping...that my baby recuperates MUCH more quickly than I did :(

I am looking forward to...the second part of the Valentine's quilting class tomorrow! And the quilt show this weekend in Orlando!

I am learning...that God is challenging me in my relationships. He is challenging me to LOVE those he has placed in my life through His eyes, not my own and he is challenging me to work towards improving my relationships, not proving that I am right. It's difficult at times because I want to "call out" the obvious nonsense taking place...however, it is not my place and I am called to LOVE-NOT make everyone admit their wrongs and change.

Around the house...purging and organizing! (still!) I am almost finished with the bathroom closet! YAYY! And I did complete the pots and pan cabinet. Once I finish the bathroom closet I will be blogging another Project Organization 2013 post! Stay tuned!

I am pondering...How good and faithful God is. How NOTHING is impossible with Him. Even when it seems that "that will never happen"....ahh so, the walls of Jericho would "never" have fallen simply by marching. Praise the Lord! He is good and just and faithful and His plan will prevail.

A favorite quote for today... Ephesians 4:29-30a, (NCV) "When you talk, do not say harmful things, but say what people need-words that will help others become stronger. Then what you say will do good to those who listen to you. And do not make the Holy Spirit sad. The Spirit is God's proof that you belong to him.

One of my favorite things...meeting sewers and quilters that I never even knew were around me! I have "met" so many over the past few weeks that are not only quilters but also homeschoolers! And one even has a hubby and sons who race dirt track here locally! How amazing is THAT!??!

A few plans for the rest of the week: quilting class tomorrow, quilt show Saturday, church Sunday.

A peek into my day... I have to show you two. Both of these are poor quality because I used my phone camera....here is Ky, sick and on the couch :(
And here is something that makes me smile :) Ronnie built a stand for the bunny's cage and she is now enjoying the outside! But what makes me smile is that the ducks are over there by her...isn't it a quaint picture!

Have a blessed Wednesday! Love the people around you, for you never know who God will call home today.

The Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY...Monday, January 21st, 2013

Outside my window...it's a sunny but somewhat cloudy day

I am thinking...that my back NEEDS to get better. This is for the birds!

I am thankful...for good friends and fellow sewers!

In the kitchen...hoping to try some new recipes this week. But I have to be able to stand and move around in the kitchen to do it. I want to try Quinoa.

I am wearing...PJ's! No surprise there :)

I am creating...an organized home, still finishing the Valentine's Day wall hanging quilt and my January "Lovely Year of Finishes" project.

I am going...to Lisa's for craft club with Kyle in a bit....then back down in bed =((

I am wondering...how I am going to accomplish all that I need to this week with my back out. (I know God will see me through, it's just super frustrating and I hate being tied down)

I am reading..."Blue Moon Promise" by Colleen Coble, "The Sister's Secret" by Wanda Brunstetter

I am hoping...that I can organize my bathroom closet today. With Ronnie being home though I doubt it will happen. He is going to make me stay down ALL day.

I am looking forward to...quilting class I'm teaching this Thursday and Monster Jam Saturday night!

I am learning...that there are some things I just can't do anymore. Age is just a number and with my back my age is pretty irrelevant :(

Around the house...purging and organizing! (still!)

I am pondering...how to get the binding on a quilt without hurting my back and without Ronnie pitching a fit.

A favorite quote for today...
“Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.”  ~Martin Luther King, Jr.

One of my favorite things...the group I created on FB "Lisa's Quilt Circle" I LOVE that people are joining and interacting!

A few plans for the rest of the week:other than the normal stuff...the Villages Quilt show is FRIDAY!! Yayy!!

A peek into my day...
This is what I am using as a walker to get around...pathetic, I know.

The Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY...Tuesday, January 15th, 2013

Outside my window...clear blue, sunny sky

I am thinking...about the CE meeting that I have to go to in a bit

I am thankful...for my husband who works so hard to provide for our family

In the kitchen...lots of cooking happening there. We are enjoying our "whole foods" way of life very much!

I am wearing...PJ's! No surprise there :)

I am creating...an organized home, a Valentine's Day wall hanging quilt and a few other things

I am going...to church in a bit for a meeting

I am wondering...not really much of anything at the moment. Still on cup one of coffee though...

I am reading..."Blue Moon Promise" by Colleen Coble, "Looking for a Miracle" by Wanda Brunstetter, "The Hobbit" by J.R.R. Tolkein

I am hoping...that we will actually finish Kyle's schoolwork today

I am looking forward to...possibly going to the beach on Friday

I am learning...creative ways to organize my home! I AM LOVING PINTEREST

Around the house...purging and organizing!

I am pondering...not much

A favorite quote for today..."If we are really to live at all we must put our convictions into action" Margaret Sanger

One of my favorite things...the wood Ronnie got for my new 4ftx4ft raised bed garden. It is highly inspiring.

A few plans for the rest of the week: CE meeting, Swim team for Ky, scouts tonight, church tomorrow, science club Thursday, then a Council Meeting, hoping to go to the beach Friday but if not, we will be park bound!

A peek into my day...Flowers growing in my box IN JANUARY!

The Simple Woman's Daybook~ 1/2/13

FOR TODAY, Wednesday, January 2nd, 2013

Outside my window...It's another bright blue-skyed sunny Florida day. BEAUTIFUL weather today!

I am thinking...that I need to get in the shower bc Amanda is going to have her baby any hour now!

I am thankful...for a husband who seeks God in his decisions rather than only trying to figure them out in the human mindset. God's ways are not man's ways but you cannot know His will for your life if you do not seek Him.

In the kitchen...ehhh...we have been eating out almost constantly through the holidays. And since we don't eat fast food anymore...it adds up quickly! It's time to compile my list of meals for the rest of this week and get to cooking again :)

I am wearing...pj's, of course!

I am creating...a scarf and some quilts....I am working on the quilt blocks, for a class I am teaching, making a Valentine's Day wall hanging. I am also finishing up a few odds and ends from Christmas. I'm knitting the bestie's scarf and working on a charity quilt as well.

I am going...to go see my soon to arrive niece in a bit! Church tonight and the movies Friday night. And that should be it for today....Well...maybe a quick run to the quilt shop. I think they have one Accuquilt GO! die left for half off :)

I am wondering...how to work teaching 2 sewing classes into this month. I don;t mind doing it as long as those who commit do come.

I am reading...many books. "For Such a Time as This", "A Dream to Call Her Own" and two others that I cannot think of the names of at the moment. And I just started "The Hobbit" with Kyle too.

I am hoping...that Macy Jeanne makes her entrance into this world today...and soon! =)

I am looking forward to...meeting Macy!

I am learning...how to make homemade deodorant! SO simple and from all I've read and everyone I've talked to about it, it is AMAZING, aluminum-free stuff. NO ODOR and pennies to make! Plus I have heard several long term benefits that are unexpected.

Around the house...things are being put back in order. The Christmas tree came down yesterday and the decorations got put away. It's kind of sad that Christmas is over....but at the same time it is nice to have the house back to "normal".

I am pondering...whether or not I should start the homeschool Nature Club...and if I do, what I will teach each week and what projects we will do....hmmmmmmmmm.

A favorite quote for today..."Dull women have immaculate sewing rooms." (LOL)

One of my favorite things...My Christmas present from Ronnie...Accuquilt GO!

A few plans for the rest of the week: meeting my niece, Macy, church, movies, SEWING SEWING SEWING

A peek into my day...My living room....not that the Christmas tree is out! (Although the Christmas bins are still sitting there, lol)

The Simple Woman's Daybook~July 5th

FOR TODAY...Thursday, July 5th, 2012

Outside my window...it's blue skies and sunny

I am thinking...about how completely strange it is not having Kyle around.

I am thankful...for a great time yesterday with my family!

In the kitchen...bleh...why cook? It's just me and Ronnie!

I am wearing...lol...take a guess? yep...pajamas!

I am creating...an embroidery block, the star quilt-along quilt & other misc quilts

I am going...to take Ronnie's mom to the Dr. today

I am wondering...how that is going to go.

I am reading..."A Love of Her Own" by Maggie Brendan & "The Longing" by Beverly Lewis

I am hoping...that Ronnie has another great day at his new job!

I am looking forward to...TOMORROW!! When I get to go pick Kyle up!

I am learning...that life with just me and Ronnie is pretty darn boring!

Around the house...what's to say...it's clean & uncluttered...everything is staying where it is supposed to be! (lol).

I am pondering...if this is going to be how life is once Kyle goes out on his own...Ronnie and I will need to liven up some! lol.

A favorite quote for today..."Rise and Shine, It's Coffee Time!"

One of my favorite things...the Red, White & Blue mini quilt that was sent to me in one of the Doll Quilt Swaps! I LOVE it!

A few plans for the rest of the week...Friday I am picking Kyle up and maybe we will make it to the park for the trunk sale, Saturday we are having a BBQ at Mom & John's to belatedly celebrate Ronnie's bday! Sunday we'll be at church.

FOR TODAY: Saturday, June 17, 2012
Outside my window... It is sunny, but the clouds are piling up. I think it will rain later this afternoon.

I am thinking... that this keyboard I am using is really quite aggravating. I am at my Uncle's house and his keyboard constantly skips keys. The PC is slow and the CPU gets jammed up easily, so it simply doesn't recognize what I've typed and just picks up again wherever I'm at when it catches up! I have to go back and insert letters and spaces on EVERYTHING I type...annoying.

I am thankful... that I was able to see so many of my family members yesterday at the Redneck Olympics. (yeah, that speaks volumes, doesn't it, lol)
In the kitchen... I am house-sitting, so the kitchen here is stocked for me! :) I am spoiled.

I am wearing...  what else.............pajamas ;)

I am creating... quilts! and an embroidery project

I am going... to enjoy being away from all the distractions of daily life at home and get some UFO's completed!

I am wondering... how Kyle will like his basketball camp this week.

I am reading... just finished book 2 of the "Daughters of Caleb Bender" series. This has been the most adventuresome Amish series I've ever read. DYING to read book 3 but it doesn't come out until DECEMBER! :(( So I just started "Love of Her Own" by Maggie Brendan (book 3 of the 'Heart of the West' series) and I am reading "The Forbidden" by Beverly Lewis (Book 2 in the 'Courtship of Nellie Fisher' series). I have also started reading "Faith Dare" and am still working on "Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World"-although I haven't picked that up in a month or so.

I am hoping...that Val can get me in to color my hair soon.

I am looking forward to...  Ronnie coming here today! After church he is heading out to visit us for Father's Day. Kyle & I left Thursday and haven't seen him ;(

I am learning...to embroider nicely...practice makes better!
Around the house...IDK.I am not home! lol.
I am pondering... how good God is and how he provided a new job for Ronnie that will bring peace to my wonderful husband.
A favorite quote for today...  DAD...A son's first hero. A daughter's first love.
One of my favorite things...downloading E-books to my Kindle...don't realize how much I do that until I am in a place without wifi...my tablet is useless! (LOL)

A few plans for the rest of the week:  Kyle has basketball camp and I will be house-sitting all week in Orlando....so...I have brought plenty of UFO's to work on! I will be sewing away! I brought fabric to start a quilt for Lisa's Quilted Hugs project for the orphanage in Mexico, in case I finish everything else. :) And I want to complete the embroidery block I am working on.
A peek into my day...

FOR TODAY: Tuesday, May 28th, 2012

Outside my window...  It is raining off and on. We'll have hard rain, then a drizzle, then it's pouring again. I LOVE this kind of rainy day. I am enjoying it SO very much. We are receiving the outer bands of Tropical Depression Beryl.

I am thinking...  that I have SO much blogging to catch up on! I LOVE BLOGGING and have missed it while we were away.

I am thankful...  that God gave us traveling mercies. Twice on our trip we stopped to use the restroom, eat or get gas, only to get back on the highway and find a major wreck within 10-20 miles of where we got off. Thank you, Lord for your protection. And thank you to all my family and friends who were in continuous prayer for our time traveling.

In the kitchen...  ehh. Steak and hamburgers that were thawed out to grill went bad from us not being home. Oh well, such is life.

I am wearing...  stretchy, comfy clothes!

I am creating...  quilts & baby items

I am going...  to relax and enjoy my home. Humble though it may be, there's NO PLACE LIKE HOME.

I am wondering... how everything will play out this week. Lots of things up in the air.

I am reading... Just finished Swinging on a Star and am starting the third book in the Weddings by Bella series. "It Had To Be You". This series is a christian romantic comedy and it has me LITERALLY laughing out loud! Highly recommend if you are looking for a light, fun read :)

I am hoping...  that Patches will be OK at the vet Tues and Wed.

I am looking forward to...  this weekend when Lisa and I are taking a trip up to Ohio. We will be spending some time in Holmes County, in Amish Country, prior to picking up Ronnie's mom and moving her down here. So excited about that! And so thankful for my bestie!

I am learning... that you can not see someone that you truly, unconditionally love for 11 years and it seems like it was JUST YESTERDAY when you finally do.

Around the house... clearing out! After our experience this weekend we are getting things in order and getting rid of clutter!

I am pondering... how wonderful God is and how blessed I am. I love my life, the people in it, my family, my friends, my church family. I am SO very, very blessed.

A favorite quote for today...  "They gave their tomorrow, for our today"...in honor of Memorial Day

One of my favorite things... is this RAIN! Thank you, Lord for this wonderful, ongoing rain!

A few plans for the rest of the week:  Yikes. Get things ready for Mom to move down, get coverage at church, meeting with local funeral home to get our affairs in order, talk with attorney at church to get our will updated, Patches has appt to get de-clawed tomorrow, and who knows what else. That's all off the top of my head, I haven't even looked at my calendar!

The Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY: Monday, May 14th, 2012

Outside my window...the sun is just setting...it is at the end of its descent.

I am thinking...that I REALLY hurt my knee when I twisted it.

I am thankful...that I am blessed to be home and not have to work.

In the kitchen...I made about 40 hamburger patties today to freeze for the BBQ coming up.

I am wearing...shorts and a tank top

I am creating...quilt tops! lots of them!

I am going...to work in the church office at the end of this week and beginning of next week.

I am wondering...why Ronnie continues to do his schoolwork at the last minute.

I am reading..."1105 Yakima Way" by Debbie Macomber, "A Single Thread" by Marie Bostwick, "Swinging on a Star" by Janice Thompson

I am hoping...that I can find the color thread I need to quilt this quilt I am waiting to quilt.

I am looking forward to...this weekend when I have ALONE time!!!!

I am learning...things about the Great Depression from Kyle that I had never heard before. hmmm.

Around the house...my back porch is once again, perfect! I love it!

I am pondering...if my knee  is going to still hurt tomorrow.

A favorite quote for today..."Each Day Is A Brand New Opportunity To Be Jesus To The World" - R. Falcon

One of my favorite things...my Keurig!

A few plans for the rest of the week: work at church, teach at church, attend church, bible study at home....oh and SEW, SEW, SEW! (My boys will be gone all weekend).

A peek into my day...I have two peeks....one is the quilt I completed from my design wall and the other is the sunset I mentioned above. When I looked out my window to write this post, I HAD to go take a picture.

The Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY: Friday, August 5th 2011.

Outside my window...it's dark but we had LOTS of lightening earlier and a friend of mine told me her kids saw a tornado on Lake Eustis during those storms! whoa!!

I am thinking...that I want to make my Doll Quilt partner a different doll quilt. I'm not pleased with the HST one.

I am thankful...that God really is in control!

From the learning rooms...a few more weeks til school starts. Kyle is already asking for Math and Reading and Science...geesh...we'll start the day after Labor day as normal and of course...the first day of school is always a field trip!

In the kitchen...I made lasagna for dinner but we didn't eat it! About ten mins after I put it in Ronnie said "let's order pizza, I'm starving!" So we did...and we now have a cooked lasagna in the fridge to heat up for lunch tomorrow ;)

I am wearing...pj's! (I never really have to change this one, lol)

I am creating...a new doll quilt bc I don't like the one I made. I want to do a barn bc my partner this month likes farming. If it goes well and isn't too difficult I will throw together 6 more blocks of the barn and add them to the funky farm swap. I am thinking of finishing the quilting on the quilt I made earlier in the year for Grandma Ruth-John's Mom. (It was the pink and green one). I've quilted ALL of the pieced blocks but want to do some fancy stencil quilting in the solid squares.

I am going...nowhere tomorrow! It was supposed to be beach day but bc of the tropical storm, we had to cancel. Ronnie rented a Bobcat and we'll be doing the backyard tomorrow.

I am wondering...If I should sew tonight or just go to bed. I'm actually tired!

I am reading...I am onto story 2 in "The Knitting Diaries"by Debbie Macomber), "A Turn in the Road" also by Debbie Macomber and Lysa Terkeurst's "What Happens When Women Say Yes to God".

I am hoping...that Ronnie can get everything done tomorrow in the limited time he has :/

I am looking forward to...having the empty side of the pond filled in although Kyle and his buddies strongly disagree-that is their play/fort area ;)

I am hearing...Kyle and his friend (who is staying the night) exclaiming about some part of "Pirates of the Caribbean"...cute :)

Around the house...clearing and leveling the back yard and installing a sprinkler system. We also mulched the front beds and plan on trimming hedges this weekend!

I am pondering...whether I should go to bed after I type this...or if I should see if I can get into sewing.

One of my favorite things...My new rose bush. I am not typically a rose-y person I like wild flowers and gardenias and daisies and jasmine...but I LOVE my new rose bush!

A few plans for the rest of the week: Kyle and Ashton want to do laser tag...we'll see. If not then roller skating for them again for sure-they love it! Night 2 of Beach Bash is Wed pm. I have a chiro appt mon, wed and fri ;( and I am sure we'll end up at the movies or something friday night....maybe Fun SPot in Orlando.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...the barn I am wanting to make.

I am thinking...that I want to get a lot of sewing done tonight

I am thankful...for my Pastor and his wife, Candy-who are on vacation as of today!! ENJOY!!

From the learning rooms...Kyle is already missing school..I AM NOT! lol. He was asking if we could start math and reading ;) (I said "no")

In the kitchen...too hot for anything in the kitchen!

I am wearing...pj's!

I am creating...almost done, just have to sew on one last side for one of the Int'l Round Robin due out. Then I need to work on the next one that is due out August 15th! I am also making "funky farm" blocks for a swap, Fun and whimsical Holiday blocks for December, and a doll quilt for the August swap.

I am going...to sew all night tonight and sleep til noon tomorrow!

I am wondering...how much the Bobcat rental is going to be

I am reading..."The Knitting Diaries", "Small Town Christmas" (both by Debbie Macomber), "Sister's Choice", by Emilie Richards and "The Bible Jesus Read", by Philip Yancey

I am hoping...that we can do the beach theme skit at church Sunday, hee hee ;) "Righteous, dude".

I am looking forward to...sewing all night

I am hearing...blissful quiet

Around the house...re-arrange a tad, new fridge (LOVE the filtered water from it!), getting ready to take a Bobcat to part of the backyard and then fill in one side of the pond! New rose bush in the front! SO pretty!!

I am pondering...whether or not I can accomplish 6 funky sheep blocks in the next few days

One of my favorite things...the water from my fridge :) seriously.

A few plans for the rest of the week: hmmm...we went to the movies tonight to see the premier of SMURFS! I am hoping...that we have lots of kids again this Sunday!

I am looking forward to...Ronnie being home the next two days-he wasn't off Thursday this week :(

I am hearing...Yiruma

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...totally content ;)

The Simple Woman's Daybook

I have not blogged in SOOOOOOO long!
That's horrible, isn't it!!? I actually had to go back and look at what I last blogged about to remember all I haven't blogged about! Geesh...the BTS field day. I decided to start with "The Simple Woman's Daybook" post.

FOR TODAY: Tuesday, November 3, 2010

Outside my window...cloudy sky, with the sun peeking through here and there. I am hoping it is going to rain again today.

I am thinking...that I have an opportunity today to minister to several children.
I am thankful for...my pastor

From the learning rooms...ops-normal around here. School is more intense this year than previous years. Kyle's doing great with the larger work load though. Tomorrow we have a field trip to the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse Museum. I LOVE this homeschool day!
From the kitchen...ehhh...it's been too hot for me to really be in the mood to cook lately...but that will change this weekend!

I am wearing...pj's
I am creating...doll quilts, water bottle totes, aprons and dog scarves

I am reading..."Endless Chain" by Emile Richards. This is the second in a series of novels that have quilting woven throughout them. I am also listening to "1022 Evergreen Place", by Debbie Macomber on a DAD device. This is book 10 in the Cedar Cove Series that I love so much.I hope she comes out with book 11 soon! And...I am listening to the book on CD "Fancy Pants" by Cathy Marie Hake.

I am also doing a new bible study through Uniform Series. I am studying the book of Psalms. I just started this new study yesterday but I did about a week's worth of it and am really liking it so far. I am using my Max Lucado Bible for it. (I had forgotten I had that one until yesterday).
I am hoping...that I don't get too pooped out today, before the craft night tonight.

I am hearing...the fan and Kyle writing and erasing.

Around the house...I have church curriculum coming out my ears. I am in the process of going through it to sort it into the "we'll use this" pile or the "give this away pile". I can't wait to finish organizing it so I can get it on a shelf at the church.

One of my favorite things...the pretty flowers in my pond. Each day it's a surprise how many will be there. Each afternoon the close up and fall into the water until they arise the next morning. For some reason it is quite enthralling to me.

A few plans for the rest of the week...I am going up to help with the after school kids today from 1-5:30/6:00ish. Then we have Kids Craft Hour tonight from 7-8.  Kyle is going to Lisa's today for swimming, hiking and a trip to the local art museum! (For those of you who are local...they took down the comic books and snacks exhibit and have a new one up!). Kyle has a baseball game tonight. Tomorrow is our field trip. Friday night Kyle has practice, Saturday he has a game. Saturday is also me and Ronnie's 11 year wedding anniversary!!!! ...and Sunday is church. Tada! that's our week!

Here is picture thought I am sharing...hmmmm...it was difficult to choose just one today! Here is one of the flowers I was talking about i the pond.

I am thinking...that I wish October was sooner!

I am thankful for...friends
From the learning rooms...Spring Break...I wasn't planning on taking it, but Kyle has been fighting a cold the past two days and I get to keep my niece and nephew ALL day Thursday!! So....I guess God planned for me to take Spring break after all ;)
From the kitchen...leftovers from Easter!!
I am wearing...Jeans and a shirt.
I am creating...blocks....2 left for my boomerang swap. A wall hanging for my home for Spring, my cat wall hanging, and a gift.

Outside my window...bright blue skies with white puffy clouds...it wasn't like this a couple of hours ago though!
I am thinking...that I can't wait to devour some pancakes tonight!
I am thankful for...my women's bible study.

From the learning rooms...Things are going great!! we are almost halfway finished with 3rd grade math!! Yes, we did just start at the beginning of this month....however 384 pages into it, there were only 2 or 3 not previously taught lessons! Also, I just counted and we have 28 days of his English left!! So glad we're right on track!
From the kitchen...cutting carbs/starches/sugars from our diet. Luckily all three of us LOVE a huge variety of veggies!
I am wearing...Jeans and a shirt...but soon I'll be changing into pj's and slippers for Awana!!

I am creating...blocks....5 left for my boomerang swap. A wall hanging for my home for Spring, my cat wall hanging, and a gift.
I am reading...Snowfall at Willow Lake by Susan Wiggs, The Quilter's Apprentice by Jennifer Chiaverini and Arizona Embrace by Leigh Greenwood. Yes, all three at once. One is an audio book, the other two are regular books.
I am hoping...that Ronnie does GREAT Saturday!
I am hearing...nothing.. :)

Around the house...starting to sort and sell things. I sold my first item towards the move!
One of my favorite things...sesame rice crackers

A few plans for the rest of the week...Awana tonight, Project Linus on Thursday, race track on Saturday and probably nancy's for a bit, then Easter Sunday we have sunrise service at 6am, breakfast at church following that, then regular service at 9:45--in which I am teaching the children, so I plan on having an egg hunt and goodie bags!!! Outside my window...it's nightime now, but today it was very overcast. And there was a big rainbow this afternoon! It didn't look like any rainbow I've ever seen in Florida...strange.

I am thinking...that I want to finish my sewing room.

I am thankful for...having Jesus anchor my life. Thank GOD I don't have to rely on myself b/c I would fail miserably....every hour of every day I would fail. Thank you Lord for my salvation.

From the learning rooms...Kyle starts 3rd grade math this week!!!!!!!!!!! He's very excited and proud of himself!!
From the kitchen...Ronnie and Ky have been bugging me to bake a cake...so tomorrow I will. Tacos for dinner tomorrow night.

Around the house...everything is great...if I would have had to answer this yeserday though I would have said I'm ready to rip my hair out over the sewing room. Now I can say I am about 80% done with re-vamping it! YAY!!

One of my favorite things...right now, one of my fav things is that Kyle is feeling SO much better, He's 90% back to normal. I am SO thankful for all the prayers sent up on his behalf. I was really worried for a few days there.
A few plans for the rest of the week...Project Linus on Thursday. A trip to the used book store here in Fernley tomorrow. I have to go to the post office too...I accidentally mailed a quilt block to Canada without the customs form.
Here is picture thought I am sharing...my adorable Jacob! I think watching us work today exhausted him! lol.
