Quilt Kit, luggage tag & more!

As promised, here is the finished picture of the luggage tag I made--I decided to give it to sissy bc she REALLY wanted one after seeing Lisa's and there was not enough time before they left for Italy for Lisa to make her one.
 Isn't she beautiful! ;)
This was right before Lisa and the kids left--we spent one last night sewing together!

I miss her so much already!!
Here is a quilt she is making for her brother, John who is in Afghanistan right now in the Air Force.

Very simple bc it either won't come back with him or it'll be in rags by the time it does.

On a happier note, did I show you all this yet?? I FELL in love and HAD to have this fleece fabric!!
Isn't it DARLING!?!?!?

Here is the kit that I bought a few months ago but have had packed away....

The applique patterns are already blown up to full-size templates! YAY!!
Here's a closer look at the fabrics-I LOVE them!

Fabulous!

My fleece obsessed cat!

OK, so my cat is HILARIOUS....he has this major obsession with fleece. He has since he was a kitten and would lay and play in my fleece rag-top squares...before I had sewn them together...he would grab them and run off. Once I sewed them into a quilt he would bite it and try to drag the quilt around--sometimes successfully! So here he is...in our new home he spied some fleece on top of one of the bins in my sewing room closet...look what he did!

ready......................

He was OUTTA THERE! lol. He got all poofed up! :) LMBO!

Projects in progress

My Mom has asked me to make her a purse....so here it is....just awaiting straps!

I think I am going to use some adorable, thick ribbon for the straps--what do you think?
Here is a HUGE bag I am working on for myself!
Made from some of Debbie Mumm's fantastic fabric.

Here is the fabric I chose for a rag-top fleece quilt. I bought this fabric last October and am only now starting on it.

The green and cream fabric in this pic is the backing fabric:
Nancy is on the last step of her quilt! She is binding it as we speak...here are some pics!

Isn't it great! This is her very first quilt! She did a GREAT job :)

Here is the block I received for the Cafe Mom round robin...this block was made by Squirrell and is an appliqued dresden plate...the center medallion is some fabric her grandmother gave her from the 50's...my job is to add a complimentary border...I think this one has to be three inches each side...any ideas???

Here is the block I made to send out....
Here is my Cherry Spinners quilt! THE TOP IS DONE! :0) (The pics def do not do this quilt top justice...it's hard to see the actual colors in the focus fabric from these pics...

We're breaking Jacob in at a young age...lol...
Here are some pics of our husband's current project...sigh...lol..
Here's my hubby
Here's Nancy's husband, my husband's brother
